Oral Cancer Screening

During your first dental visit, Dr. Pacheco will complete a comprehensive exam to check your neck and oral tissues for lumps, red or white patches or recurring sore areas. Screening for early changes in the oral tissue can help detect cancer at a stage when it can be more successfully treated.

In addition to this exam we are now proud to offer our patients two types of test: Oral HPV and Periodontal Disease. These simple tests allow for us to take a more preventative approach in screening for oral cancer and/or targeting specific pathogens which cause Periodontal Disease. These tests allow for us to step in front of the cause rather than reacting to the symptom.
